Number of European Registered Ergonomists has passed 400

In the last council meeting of the Centre for Registration of European Ergonomists (CREE), 24 new applications and 25 prolongations were approved. With those, the number of Eur.Erg.s has grown to 404.
Despite the economic crisis, over the years we have seen an increasing number of ergonomists who want to stress their professionalism by applying for certification.

Benchmarking and exchange for good practices in OSH

EU-OSHA and its official Campaign partners met on 5 -6 June 2013 in Brussels to exchange good practices, as well as performance and process indicators to promote better safety and health practices

Public consultation on future EU policy framework started

The European Commission has launched a public consultation to gather insights and contributions from the public further to results of the evaluation of the European Strategy on Safety and Health at Work 2007-2012. This should help identify current and future challenges in the occupational safety and health area, and identify solutions to address these challenges. All citizens and organisations are welcome to contribute to this consultation, which will be open from 31 May 2013 to 26 August 2013.

Ergonomists’ work & salaries in Europe On-line survey

FEES, in association with the French Ergonomics’ Society and Ergonautes groups, proposed a survey for ergonomists and human factors experts. This survey concerns the professionals who are working as Ergonomists or who consider working as ergonomists, even if their jobs are called differently. This survey was developed to learn more about you and your job in ergonomics/ human factors. Our main goal is to obtain information about ergonomics/ human factors’ job exercise in Europe.

SELF press release on arduousness at work

The French Language Ergonomics Society (SELF) welcomes that the Act dated 9th November 2010, regarding pensions reform, arduousness at work is now recognized by the French Labour Code and, therefore, employers are required to ensure its prevention.
